Natural gas transmission and distribution pipelines are exist extensively throughout the US.  Although gas pipelines have an excellent safety record, failures can have serious consequences that are intolerable to the public.  The emphasis of this 2-day seminar is on the provisions, intent, and usage of the ASME B31.8 Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems, the most widely used gas pipeline safety code worldwide. How the ASME Code does or does not address many of the following key topics will be discussed.

The pipeline operator will be requested to provide a suitable meeting facility, as well as to supply minimal presentation equipment. The seminar is designed to be held on 2.5 consecutive days for 8 hours each day, allowing for occasional breaks and lunch. The maximum recommended class size is around 20 attendees.
