Dr. Zhicao Feng earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. His PhD thesis topic was galvanic corrosion of coated Aluminum alloy and bare stainless steel. During his graduate school years, Dr. Feng published over ten technical papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Afterward, Dr. Feng joined Mears Group and transferred his corrosion knowledge and skills to the oil and gas industry, specifically pipeline corrosion and corrosion control. This includes, but is not limited to, coating evaluation, cathodic protection, AC mitigation, External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA), and Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment (ICDA).

Dr. Feng then joined Kiefner and Associates, Inc. in 2019 and focused on pipeline integrity management including fitness for service, selective seam weld corrosion, root cause analysis, dig direct examination, electrochemical testing, stress and strain monitoring, and more.
